HI I'M CAN RICHARDS

And this is my portfolio!
I'm a Cape Town-based illustrator, 3D Character Animator, storyboard artist and visual development artist with a love for nostalgic aesthetics and expressive character performance!
I have a background in comics and illustration - my clients have included Cloudscape Comics, North Vancouver District Public Library, and Arledge Comics - and graduated with distinction from The Animation School, holding a Diploma in Digital Animation. I specialise in stylised 3D character animation, and crafting cosy, nostalgic aesthetics through my comics/illustration work.
My experience ranges from short films to indie games, from comic books to corporate design, from project management to teaching workshops. The centre of my work is always community, diversity, and belonging, and I strive to create the best work possible with the people around me. I'd love to find out what I can create with you!
